Venezuela deplores terrorist attack against judges of the Supreme Court of Iran

The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela deplores in the strongest terms the terrorist attack carried out against the judges, head of Section 53, Ali Razini, and the head of Section 39, Mohammad Moqiseh, of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which occurred this Saturday, January 18, in front of the headquarters of the Judicial Branch, which caused the death of both officials.

The statement published by the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Relations, Yván Gil, indicates: «Venezuela expresses its solidarity with the Iranian People and Government in the face of this tragic event with the firm conviction that those responsible for this despicable crime can soon be determined and given due punishment. The Iranian judiciary also extends its heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of the victims, and wishes for the speedy recovery of the injured official.”

Likewise, the Iranian judiciary strongly rejects terrorism in all its forms and deplores any act of violence intended to cause terror and anxiety among the civilian population.

It is worth noting that the Iranian judiciary reported on Saturday the murder of two Iranian judges and a security agent injured during an armed attack in front of the Supreme Court in Tehran. According to the authorities, the attacker committed suicide after committing the act.
