Deputies of the AN notified the Judiciary of the installation of the Parliament for the 2025-2026 legislative term

This Wednesday, January 8, the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) received the Commission of deputies of the National Assembly (AN), who formally handed over the installation of the Venezuelan Parliament that will govern in the 2025-2026 legislative term.

The president of the TSJ, Caryslia Rodríguez, expressed that the Judiciary Branch has closely followed the intense activities that they have carried out as parliamentarians and that, in addition, this has been felt in the country:

A Parliament in the hands of the people, attending to the requirements of the population, and that allows the State to be stronger and moving forward without stopping to advance in the well-being of the people. We have been carrying out joint activities with the deputies. They have not limited themselves to the four-walled enclosure, but have deployed so that together we can build a better country that fills all Venezuelans with pride,» she stressed.

At the same time, she described as extraordinary all the work carried out by the AN, and assured that the TSJ together with the Legislative Branch will continue to deepen the leading democracy in pursuit and in favor of the country. In addition, the president of the TSJ reported that the entire Judicial Branch will attend the presidential investiture of Nicolás Maduro on January 10:

«We are happy. On January 10 we will accompany them in the swearing-in of the constitutional president,» she said. She assured that his inauguration represents «a manifestation of strengthening democracy.»

On the other hand, the Commission of deputies that was headed by: María Gabriela Vegas; Oriana Osio; Yotsen Alvarado; William Benavidez; Oscar Ronderos; Alfonso Campos and Jonathan Pati read a statement addressed to the Judiciary by the President of Parliament Jorge Rodríguez, in which he reports that last Sunday, January 5 began the installation of the 2025 legislative period, where the Board of Directors was ratified:

We work in unity, regardless of any different political thought, the most important thing is the well-being of the people, we have made great progress, our functions began in 2021. We are deputies of the people, those on foot, those who were in the communities and who thanks to political participation have had the opportunity to be on the right side of history. We legislate for, by and with the people, we are proud of the work done, we guarantee peace, we have given unrestricted support to all constituted powers, we have made a host of laws with which we have been advancing respecting the institutionality of the State and the Constitution, heeding the mandate of President Maduro, leader of the people”, added deputy María Gabriela Vegas.
