Venezuela expresses condolences to Azerbaijan for plane crash

The Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, on behalf of the Government and the people of Venezuela, regretted the terrible plane crash in Aktau, joining the mourning of the people of Azerbaijan.

On his Telegram channel, the Venezuelan Chancellor published a communiqué in which he expresses words of mourning and condolences to all those affected by the accident:

We join the mourning that overwhelms the people of Azerbaijan in the face of the unfortunate plane crash in Aktau. From Venezuela we extend our sincere words of condolence to the relatives and friends of the victims of the accident and we pray for the speedy recovery of those injured”, commented Gil on the social network.

An Azerbaijan Airlines plane crashed this Wednesday while travelling near the Kazakh city of Aktau. At least 39 people were killed, while another 32 survived the flight. The aircraft was flying between the Azerbaijani capital Baku and the Russian city of Grozny.

There were 67 people on board the crashed Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer 190, including five crew members.
