The Vice Minister for Latin America, Rander Peña Ramírez, affirmed that 75 countries that are today in the city of Caracas «give the discussion, reflection and action to face and confront until victory the fascism that has re-emerged in recent years» during the installation of the Antifascist International For a New World!.
He asserted that in the previous meetings conclusions and agreements were reached, and stressed that the main understanding is “to turn Caracas into the headquarters of the Antifascist International.» He stated that every day 28 in the last three months there have been special days of solidarity action with just causes of humanity, «among them the Palestinian cause, which we elevate, protect and assume as our own, because it is a human cause.»
He recalled that in the city there are events to exchange actions against fascism from different angles (parliamentarians and youth) and «today we started and installed this great meeting that has several expectations, to advance in work tables to discuss the social and political agenda for the next 2025 and the decade and years to come.»
Peña stressed that in the work tables we must reflect on what is happening with the scourge of fascism «to diagnose what we are facing.» With the mission and duty of this meeting «to describe, outline the political action that each of the anti-fascists have to confront fascism in all its expressions.»
«From Venezuela we are proponents that we can, from the anti-fascist international, dedicate and direct each action and each discussion, each reflection to see what we do to confront it,» he pointed out.
