TSJ technical expert report revealed a cyber attack on the electoral system

The president of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), Caryslia Rodríguez, reported that during the electoral technical expert report process, was evidenced the massive cyber attack suffered by the electoral system during the presidential elections on July 28.

Likewise, she indicated that, despite the attacks, the National Electoral Council (CNE) appeared with its main rectors, headed by Elvis Amoroso, recording all the electoral material linked to the July 28 election. At the same time, she said that the only one who did not attend and did not justify his absence was rector Juan Carlos Delpino.

She specified that during the work to resolve the dispute, the Supreme Court also summoned the 38 political parties that nominated candidates in the elections of July 28, of which only 33 submitted the required electoral material.

Regarding the former candidates, she indicated that, of the 10 summoned, only nine attended. In turn, she specified that the “Alianza Lápiz and Centrados en la Gente parties did not submit the required electoral material, as neither did the candidates Antonio Ecarri and Enrique Márquez.”

The magistrate also indicated that, based on the results obtained in the expert report, it was concluded that the bulletins issued by the CNE are supported by the minutes of scrutiny issued by the voting machines in the electoral process, and maintain full coincidence with the records of the databases of the totalization centers.

Therefore, she confirmed that the electoral material examined validates the results of the presidential election of July 28, 2024, issued by the CNE, where Nicolás Maduro was elected President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela for the 2025-2031 term.
