The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, inaugurated this Wednesday the Comprehensive Rehabilitation Center for children with disabilities «Carabobo Te Quiero» (“I Love You Carabobo”) in Valencia, Carabobo state.
These spaces have various services for care with therapies to help them with neurological or motor deterioration through units such as hydrotherapy, which has heated water, which can be adapted according to the patient’s disorder.
The national president recognized the work of all those involved, so that «in the south of Valencia we have all this service of care for children with a special condition.»
In addition, the center has 61 doctors and specialists for equine therapy, physiotherapy, rehabilitation, functional therapy, dentistry, as well as triage.
First, triage is carried out and then the patient moves on to the other areas of this multidisciplinary center, which allows the patient to have all their consultations and therapies in one place.
There is also a functional area where patients are evaluated by physiotherapists and they perform any type of practical exercise depending on the disability.
Regarding the dentistry service, it is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as LED lights and does not emit noise, considering that children are very sensitive.
On the other hand, Maduro urged that before the end of the last semester of 2024, at least, one center of this type be opened in each state.
