President Maduro denounces the extreme right wing intended to cause a blackout to attack Miraflores

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported on Wednesday that the extreme right wing led by González Urrutia and María Corina Machado intended to attack the Simón Bolívar Hydroelectric Power Plant in El Guri to cause a national blackout and attack the Miraflores Palace.

From Miraflores Palace, in the Ayacucho Hall, during a press conference with international media, the head of state reported that the main leader who would attack El Guri was captured, «and they must already be capturing the other members of the network contacted by the commanders of the terrorist María Machado to attack Guri.»

«With extreme security measures, we managed to protect the El Guri Power Plant. We have already captured those involved,» he reported.

The national leader also denounced that the extreme right wing wanted to cause a blackout to prevent the election results and cause greater tension in the population with the help of the international media, to transmit to the world the idea of an uprising, which is provoked by themselves:

What they did manage to do was to attack the data system of the National Electoral Council, and also damaged some of the offices of this entity,” he said.

He recalled that last Friday, July 26, were captured some individuals who intended to attack the Ureña Electric Substation, to leave that region of the country without electricity and, in addition, that chain of events would affect 10 states of Venezuela:

And they do not stop with their plans. The logisticians of the plan to sabotage the Ureña Electric Substation fled to Colombia, they have already been identified,” said Maduro.
