From Miraflores Palace in a joint session of the National Defense Council and the Council of State, two instances of the highest level, with the participation of the five Constitutional Powers of the country, and also with the presence of the Supreme General Staff, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro denounced this Tuesday the attempt of massive destabilization in Venezuela, with financing from the US and Colombian drug trafficking:
“I wanted to communicate with all of Venezuela, because we are currently experiencing an attempt at massive destabilization. We denounced it, in time, from 2023-2024, that they were going to try to use the electoral campaign, with financing from the United States and Colombian drug trafficking, in order to set up a shock force full of hatred, criminality and violence before, during and after the electoral process on July 28, to attack the peace of the citizens and the institutions,” stressed the president.
Maduro pointed out that through campaigns on social networks they seek to plot destabilization in the country: “They came against Venezuela in all the social media campaigns, plotted to destabilize the country. They cannot stand that we are recovering.”
“We are facing an international attack and they intend to seize power with violence,” he denounced.
On the other hand, the national leader praised the fact that this Tuesday the National Assembly held a historic session in which they unanimously voted for an agreement rejecting violence, destruction, hatred, intolerance and the criminal and fascist onslaught that “aims to impose itself and create conditions for a new April 11 coup d’état, a fascist attempt against our democracy and our people.”
