President Maduro denounces extreme right wing intends to introduce paramilitaries into the country

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, during his “Con Maduro de Repente” (With Maduro, Suddenly) program, from the Urimare 101.1 FM radio station, located in La Guaira, denounced that the Venezuelan right wing intends to introduce a thousand paramilitaries from the Auto Defensas Conquistadoras De La Sierra, better known as “Los Pachencas”, from Colombia, to destabilize the peace of the country:

This group denounces that they were contacted by the Venezuelan extreme right wing, to enter about a thousand men, to generate violence in the border states, attack the electrical service and when they (the right wing) cry fraud on July 28, they enter to generate the feeling of a civil war in the country,» said the head of state, who stressed that Venezuela has many sources of intelligence and «we handle them with prudence, with knowledge, with wisdom.»

In that sense, he publicly asked the Attorney General of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Tarek William Saab, to carry out the pertinent investigations in reference to this case: “This is coming out in real time, it was sent to me from Colombia, and a journalist from that country corroborated the veracity of the video of this group with the intelligence of the New Granadean nation.”

It was learned that this group issued a press release this Friday in which they denounce having been contacted by Venezuelan extreme right wing groups to attack the head of state.

«Our units in the department of La Guajira have been contacted by far-right groups in Venezuela, to destabilize the Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the interlocutors have made all types of requests, including attacking the electrical infrastructure, acting against the presidential candidate Nicolás Maduro. To act in case he is re-elected by infiltrating protests and generating chaos in the streets,” they indicated.
