“The Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP) is the community of our region for the union of wills with inclusive dialogue, respect, cooperation and political agreement,” expressed the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, in his account on the X social network, @NicolasMaduro.
The Venezuelan head of state highlighted the need that, in the face of diversity, we must advance towards the integration of our Americas and the development of the people.
In the city of Caracas was held the 23rd Summit of Heads of State and Government of the alliance. The last summit was held in December 2022, in Havana, Cuba, where the participants ratified the commitment to strengthen the bloc as an instrument for uniting people, based on the principles of solidarity, social justice, cooperation and economic complementarity.
Last week, the Meeting for a Global Social Alternative was held in Caracas, in which ALBA-TCP secretary, Jorge Arreaza, highlighted the importance of promoting unity and the design of an agenda that armors the Latin American and Caribbean regions against the imperial attacks on sovereign and independent peoples.
