The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, assured this Friday that the multipolar world has already born:
“They (the empires) know that the multipolar world has already born, and the countdown of the end of dominance and hegemony of the Western empires began,” he said at the Meeting for a World Social Alternative, organized by the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our Americas – People’s Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP):
“Africa rises up in its fight against European colonialism, America fights to maintain its spaces and liberate new spaces, the peoples of the world have said enough,” said the Head of State.
In this sense, he commented: “With the ALBA we will consolidate a new and powerful global social alliance. Let us unite everything that can be united for a global social alternative.”
Maduro urged to maintain permanent mass mobilization, to activate the people in any circumstance, it is the only way – he said – to confront neoliberalism and fascism that are resurging.
He said that the document that brings together the conclusions of the meeting, “Makes us build a new global social alternative, a new era of transition to socialism, without hegemonic empires, without colonialism, without fascism, without neoliberalism, without savage capitalism. A new society that invents and reinvents itself.”
“History has proven us right. Today ALBA is consolidating, it is a moral and political reference for the people who fight, who dream,” he stated.
For Maduro, the time has come to articulate, from the Alba social movements, a new global social alternative against capitalism.
He stated that “only the organized peoples will be able to build a new world. It is not an elite issue.”
The former presidents of Bolivia, Evo Morales, and of Honduras, Manuel Zelaya, participated in the meeting, held in the spaces of the Meliá Hotel in Caracas.
