He noted that the 2015 parliamentary election had the participation of 26 political organizations, while this time there are 37 political organizations that are participating in the presidential election on July 28, 2024:
“That is why sometimes the short-sightedness of some governments and some countries and groups that are more motivated by hatred and animosity against Venezuela than by the truth is incredible,” criticized Rodríguez from the Simón Bolívar municipality of Miranda state. where the Bolivarian founding generation commemorated the 30th anniversary of Chávez’s departure from the Cárcel de la Dignidad (Prison of Dignity).
He listed: “There are 37 parties, 13 candidates and if you (President Maduro) review the entire political spectrum that currently exists in Venezuela, all political factors are represented by at least one candidate for the presidency of the Republic.”
For his part, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, pointed out that this is the democratic and free Venezuela, while ratifying: “Whoever comes to interfere in the internal affairs of Venezuela will receive their backfire, be it called European Union, right wing, cowardly left wing, because we have made Venezuela to be respected in the worst circumstances, and we are going to make the sovereignty of the people respected. Make no mistake, Venezuela will be respected!”
The Head of State stressed that “they are the elections that have been seen in the last 60 years with greater ideological and political diversity, with 37 political parties from all sectors.”
People’s power:
In relation to the previous work done by the revolutionary force for these elections, he indicated that this campaign is “the demonstration of the immense People’s Power that we have built, of the immense strength of the Venezuelan popular movement, of the Bolivarian movement that became a street, a neighborhood, a people, it became a field and it has been growing.”
He considered that it responds to an unprecedented, beautiful process, of growth, renewal, of sum, “where we are in the center, but we are calling an entire country to national union for the economic prosperity that we are building and we know how because we have a plan “The 7T Plan for the Homeland.”
“We have the people, the Armed Forces, union, peace, stability, we are achieving it, we know how to do it and we have the plan,” while he recalled: “I am not registering a candidacy, I am registering a dream, a historical project, a legacy”.
He attributed the role of candidate to the people: “The candidate is you (the people), because we defend this country together. I am only an obedient instrument of the people’s order; and just as I obeyed Chávez that December 8, 2012, when he told me: Nicolás, if something happens to me, now it’s your turn, that same loyal and humble man now tells the people: I obey you, but you in the street to build victory.”
