Denounced 20 destabilization plans and 5 assassination attempts

The president of the National Assembly (AN), deputy Jorge Rodríguez, during his participation in the sixth episode of “Maduro Podcast”, recalled that during his tenure as Minister of Communication between 2018 and 2020, 20 substantiated complaints were made of serious acts against the stability and peace of the country, in addition to five attempted assassinations, which were intended to be carried out by sectors of the extreme right wing.

In that sense, he indicated that the denounces include attempted assassination in a degree of frustration, training of mercenaries in a paramilitary camp in Colombia, psychological warfare operations, the serious electrical sabotage of March 7, attempted assassinations of leaders of the Bolivarian Revolution , attempts to take over places by the military, theft of weapons in military units, attempted coups d’état of different kinds; among other denounces.

He highlighted that regarding the assassination attempts against President Maduro, the right wing maintained that “a false positive had been set up with the drone attack, but a month and a half later CNN shows the farm in Chinácota where they received the training and shows the traces of the drone tests (evidence that we had already presented a month before).”

Regarding this, President Maduro confirmed that Venezuela is “a living miracle, there must be a very great force from God that protects us and shows everything, because the first thing they said in the news agencies of Miami, Spain, Colombia was “Maduro simulates a self-attack” and “patriotic sectors of the Armed Forces try to capture Maduro and assassinate him,” were the two currents that were going to be imposed if said mission was carried out.”

But he stressed that “we are guilty of winning peace, we have won it and we are going to maintain it. We are guilty of going into an economic recovery of a new diversified model and we are going to continue advancing with a firm step, with new strategies in the recovery of the social welfare state.”
