The Permanent Commission of People’s Power and Communication will seek the integration of all spheres of the organized People’s Power, community and alternative media, to consolidate legislative work in 2024.
This was expressed this Wednesday by the president of the legislative body, deputy Juan Carlos Alemán (PSUV/Capital District), after the installation of the commission corresponding to the period 2024 – 2025, where were ratified in the first and second vice-presidencies deputies Tania Díaz (PSUV/National) and María Carolina Chávez (PSUV/Nueva Esparta), and Yajaira Rodríguez in the secretariat.
He said that one of the functions of the commission is the participatory and leading role, giving capacity to all the street expressions that every day find in this Parliament the escape valve to raise their problems and reach concrete solutions for the daily construction of the country.
On the other hand, he explained that at the meeting a review of the 2024 legislative agenda was carried out, which highlights the reforms of the Organic Law of Popular Communication, and the Organic Law of People’s Power, which will enter the first discussion.
The draft Organic Law on Responsibility of Digital Networks was also evaluated, a law that puts the country at the technological forefront to regulate social network processes, as well as the reform of the Law on Social Responsibility, in Radio, Television and Electronic Media, and, finally, the reform of the Law of the Federal Government Council to form a file of five bills, added the parliamentarian.
