Bolivarian Government evaluates energy relations with Pemex

As part of the energy cooperation policies promoted by the Bolivarian Government, led by the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, met with the high-level delegation of the Petróleos Mexicanos company (Pemex), with the objective of evaluating the energy relations between Pemex and Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa).

The general director of the Mexican oil company, Octavio Romero, participated in this meeting; the general director of Exploration and Production, Ángel Cid Munguía: as well as the general director of Regional and American Organizations and Mechanisms of the Mexican Chancellory.

Likewise, the meeting was attended by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary ambassador of Mexico in Venezuela, Leopoldo de Gyves.

For its part, the Venezuelan delegation was made up of the Minister of People’s Power for Petroleum and president of Petróleos de Venezuela (Pdvsa), Pedro Tellechea; the Executive Vice President, Héctor Obregón; the vice president for Exploration and Production, Luis Molina; and the Venezuelan ambassador to Mexico, Francisco Arias Cárdenas.

It should be noted that this meeting is the result of the meeting held by the president of the national state oil company, Pedro Tellechea, on December 21, with the head of Pemex, as part of the Bolivarian Government’s strategies to establish cooperative relations between both countries, in oil matters.
