National Conference of Dialogue, Peace and Coexistence ratifies validity of the Barbados Agreement

The first meeting of the National Conference of Dialogue, Peace and Coexistence, ratified the validity of the Barbados Agreement, with the signing of a document between the different sectors, which seeks to lay the foundations for the consolidation of social and economic policies.

In this sense, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, recalled that the Barbados Agreement establishes the promotion of political and social rights, as well as electoral guarantees in 2024.

From the Eurobuilding Hotel, located in Miranda state, he announced the agreed points between the different political, business, religious, social, academic and cultural sectors of the country.

Following, know the points achieved:

1.- To demand the complete and permanent lifting of all external sanctions, restrictions and limitations imposed to the detriment of the commercial and economic freedoms of the Republic and therefore of Venezuelan society.

2.- To defend in an active and leading manner, as a single nation, the historical, political and legal rights of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, over the Essequibo territory.

3.- To take care of social peace and the democratic institutions that guarantee them as an inalienable universal right.

4.- To dismiss and reject the threats and blackmail that put the Barbados Agreement at risk and ratify the national interest in it.

When we signed in Barbados we did it free of conditioning and blackmail, we did it out of conscience, we did it out of constitutional commitment with 33 million Venezuelans (…) we are achieving it,” concluded the Dignitary.
