President Maduro: The strength of the aboriginal heritage was demonstrated in the streets

The ancestral strength of the Aboriginal heritage was evident through the mobilizations carried out this Thursday by indigenous peoples in six states of the national territory.

Regarding the Day of Indigenous Resistance and the Decolonization of America, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, greeted “the indigenous force in the street with its color, its love” that crowded the main streets of the Amazonas, Anzoátegui, Bolívar, Delta Amacuro and Zulia states, as well as the Capital District:

I was following the large mobilizations of indigenous peoples in Venezuela, impressive mobilizations in Zulia, Delta Amacuro, Bolívar Amazonas, Anzoátegui and Caracas. “People to the streets!” He stressed at the end of a tour of the Birthplace of the Liberator and the Bolivarian Museum, located in Caracas.

In this sense, the Minister of People’s Power for Indigenous Peoples, Clara Vidal, emphasized that the permanent participation of indigenous communities in the streets vindicates “the dignity of carrying high the Original Power, the resistance” that defines them.

Indestructible Brotherhood:

The Birthplace of the Liberator also serves as the setting for the closing of the 1st Insurgent Meeting for Venezuelan Identity, which brought together the presence of 31 indigenous and Afro-descendant peoples from 10 states of the country.

In this regard, the Minister of People’s Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, pointed out that, through an intense debate that lasted from October 10 to 12, the indestructible and imperishable brotherhood of two fundamental sectors, historically excluded, was sealed: indigenous people and Afro-descendants, as well as researchers and intellectuals, for the construction of Venezuelanness:

This Insurgent Meeting for Venezuela is based on a principle inherent to the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and that is sacred equality between human beings,” highlighted Villegas.

The 1st Insurgent Meeting for Venezuelan Identity, whose debate stage took place at the Venezuelan School of Planning, brought together the will to establish the historical truth, do justice and repair the violated people, and also outlined the search for political alternatives for current challenges and forge values.
