Venezuela will offer fiber optics to more than three million homes

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, instructed the Minister of the Office of the Presidency, G/B Jorge Márquez, to establish alliances with the national and international private sector, with the aim of offering more than three million homes fiber optic service throughout the national territory.

Likewise, the head of state urged the representatives of the Compañía Anónima Nacional Telefonos de Venezuela (National Telephone Company of Venezuela – CANTV), EDC Network, Metro Systems of Caracas; Los Teques; Valencia and Maracaibo, State Railways Institute (IFE) and all the infrastructures of the Ministry of People’s Power for Transportation at the service of the deployment and development of fiber optics.

Finally, President Maduro indicated: “We must believe in the human, scientific, professional and intellectual capabilities of our people in the telecommunications engine that drives the scientific, technological, material and spiritual development of our beloved Venezuela in general.”
