AN authorizes President Nicolás Maduro to carry out international tour

In the Delegate Commission, the National Assembly (AN) authorized this Thursday the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, to carry out an international tour for more than five days. The delegate based this decision on articles 235 and 187, paragraph 17, of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela (CRBV).

For his part, the president of the National Parliament, deputy Jorge Rodríguez (PSUV/Dtto Capital), reported that the tour, for more than five days in China, seeks to vindicate and strengthen the diplomatic and economic relations of both nations, as well as consolidate the multipolar world that has been established with free and sovereign countries that seek the prosperity of their people.

The deputy explained that, in accordance with article 196 of the Magna Carta, the delegated commission was granted the power to issue the permit. He highlighted that the president will travel five days to the People’s Republic of China and other unspecified destinations, with the purpose of fulfilling international commitments representing the interests of the nation:

We wish President Nicolás Maduro the greatest success in the efforts that he will carry out in the visits to friendly countries, to which he has been invited,” said the highest representative of the Legislative Branch.

During the Delegate Commission, installed in the Hall of Shields of the Federal Legislative Palace, Rodríguez read the communication from President Maduro, where he explains that the tour is based on the representation of the highest interests of the nation and appreciates the attention of Parliament.
