In a meeting intended to review the joint work agenda, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, welcomed this Thursday the President of the Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean (CAF), Sergio Díaz-Granados, at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

The dialogue that also summoned the corporate vice president of Strategic Programming, Christian Asinelli, and the general secretary Alejandra Claros, took place after the meeting held between the vice president of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, and CAF directors, in order to evaluate cooperation projects.

In this regard, were also reviewed joint agreements in order to “continue guaranteeing the sustained growth of the Homeland,” says a press release from the Ministry of People’s Power for Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade.

His responsibility as head of the Executive Presidency of CAF, which will last until 2026, is marked by the search for balance within the Board of Directors that allows for institutional governance, as well as the strengthening of CAF as a financing mechanism in the region.

On the other hand, Christian Asinelli, a native of Argentina, served as Undersecretary of International Financial Relations for Development in the government of the President of Argentina, Alberto Fernández.

Regarding the professional experience of Alejandra Claros, her appointment to the CAF General Secretariat in December 2021 stands out, as well as her performance at the head of the Office Cabinet of the President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, the National Coordination of the National Telecommunications Company (ENTEL); and the Secretariat and External Relations at CAF.
