Delivered to the AN document that reaffirms the belonging of the Essequibo to Venezuela

At the start of the session on Tuesday, August 15, Deputy Hermann Escarrá took the right to speak and announced that the Special Commission for the Defense of the Territory of Guayana Esequiba and Territorial Sovereignty delivered a document that compiles all the information from the pre-Columbian era to date, that argues that the Essequibo territory belongs to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

During his presentation, Escarrá stated that, for the creation of this document, were consulted from the Papal Bulls, documents of the General Captaincy of Venezuela, government acts from more than 200 years ago that confirm with substantial and inherent facts, that the Essequibo territory is of Venezuela.

In this sense, Escarrá said, without fear of being wrong: “The Essequibo is of Venezuela, without a doubt and with all responsibility, and without this meaning useless controversies, the Republic of Guyana has no titles and what it has done for decades is the usurpation of one side of the Venezuelan homeland”.
