AN delivers to President Maduro notification of start of the 2023 legislative term

A delegation of the National Assembly (AN) headed by the highest authority of this Public Power, Jorge Rodríguez, delivered this Monday a notification of the beginning of the legislative 2023-2024 term to the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.

In an act held in the Boyacá Hall of Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, the head of state was accompanied by the first combatant Cilia Flores, and the members of the Government Sectoral Vice President Council headed by the Executive Vice President, Delcy Rodríguez.

In this sense, President Maduro greeted the new board of the AN made up of the first vice president of the AN, deputy Pedro Infante; the second vice president, América Pérez; the secretary, Rosalba Gil, and undersecretary María Alejandra Hernández Aldana, as well as the deputies of the Bloque de la Patria (Homeland Bloc) and the bench of parliamentarians from the Venezuelan opposition.

“2023 is a year that will be one of sustained recovery, of recovery towards the future, a year that has to be better. We started off on the right foot!” said the national president.

In addition, President Maduro reiterated the willingness of the national government to continue guaranteeing public investment through the National Budget approved by the sovereign AN: “The social life of the unstoppable country begins, guaranteeing public investment to all children and young people of Venezuela public, free and quality education”.
