President Maduro held meeting with China’s representative for Latin America and the Caribbean

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, held a meeting on Tuesday with Qiu Xiaoqi, Special Representative of the Chinese Government for Latin American and Caribbean Affairs, in order to strengthen relations between the two nations.

The meeting was held at Miraflores Palace, in Caracas.

Earlier, Xiaoqi held a meeting with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Carlos Farías, where they reaffirmed the will to advance in the consolidation of peace in the new multipolar world.

The ties between the two countries have been strengthened in recent years by the governments of Commander Hugo Chávez and President Maduro, taking bilateral relations to the character of an integral strategic partnership.

In addition, Caracas and Beijing share the criteria of self-determination of peoples and defense of International Law.
