Presidents Nicolas Maduro and Emmanuel Macron hold a meeting within the framework of COP27

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, holds a meeting with the President of France, Emmanuel Macron as part of the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP27), which takes place in the city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt.

At present, changes in the climate are already weakening the production of the main crops (wheat, rice and corn) in tropical and temperate regions, and there is a risk that, if there is no adaptation to these changes, the situation will worsen as temperatures rise and become more extreme, according to a review by Presidential Press.

During days 7 and 8 will also be discussed topics such as: Joust Transition, Innovative Finance for Climate and Development, Investing in the Future of Energy and Water Security.

30,000 people representing governments, companies, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and civil society groups participate in COP27, whose agenda will deal with thematic axes related to finance, science, youth and future generations, decarbonization, adaptation and agriculture, gender, water, civil society, energy, and biodiversity and solutions.
