TSJ participates in the first Round of Work Groups of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit

A delegation from the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) participated, via telematics, in the opening session of the first Round of Working Groups of the 21st Edition of the Ibero-American Judicial Summit (CJI) held in Brasilia, the capital city of Brazil.

According to a press release, after the installation of the ceremony, the presentation of the four work groups was made.

The first addressed the topic: Selection of judges and permanence in the judicial career; the second was responsible for evaluating the development of projects and strategic plans for an effective evaluation of the performance of the judiciary; the third dealt with matters related to the disciplinary regime and its guarantees; while the fourth dealt with the topic of technological fact and jurisdictional function.

The representation of the Venezuelan Judiciary in the international event was in charge of magistrate Bárbara Gabriela César Siero, vice president of the Political-Administrative Chamber, and the magistrate Luis Fernando Damiani Bustillos, member of the Constitutional Chamber of the High Court of the country and representative of the TSJ before the Ibero-American Judicial Summit.

It is noteworthy that Judge Bárbara Gabriela César Siero took part as an expert in the fourth work group, while Judge Luis Fernando Damiani Bustillos acted as observer in the first work group.

The Ibero-American Judicial Summit, the highest event that brings together the Ibero-American judicial powers, is made up of the highest legitimate authorities of the Courts and Supreme Courts and Councils of the Magistrature and Judiciary of the 23 member countries, namely: Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Spain, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Portugal, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Venezuela.

These actions are part of the inter-institutional exchange activities in international matters in which the Venezuelan Judicial Power participates, chaired by Judge Gladys María Gutiérrez Alvarado, the highest judicial authority of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
