Minister El Aissami delivers new evidence to the MP against fugitive Rafael Ramírez

The Sectoral Vice President for Economy and Minister for Petroleum, Tareck El Aissami, presented this Monday new evidence about the mega corruption plot against the state-owned Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), which further involves former Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Rafael Ramírez.

Said evidence was delivered to Attorney General Tarek William Saab, to be attached to the file against Ramirez, which includes 25 cases of corruption, of which nine are directly related to him:

After presenting the evidence to public opinion and reporting that 28 transfers were made in one year, for a total of 4.85 billion dollars, which were later distributed, today we can say that thanks to the 2012 and 2013 audits we know that Leopoldo Alejandro Betancourt López is among the beneficiaries of these transfers,” said the minister.

He added that the KPMG consulting company omitted evidence about the financing received by PDVSA between 2012 and 2013.
