SENADES strengthens strategies for disarmament and control of weapons and ammunition

The National Service for Disarmament (SENADES) strengthened strategies by promoting the First Congress for Disarmament, Arms and Ammunition Control, which was held in the auditorium of the 17 de Abril Theater, located in the General Aviation Command in La Carlota, Miranda state.

In the place, the general director of SENADES, Manolo Benavente, explained: “We are looking for information on some important inputs that serve as the basis for designing and building an exchange plan that consists of promoting the voluntary surrender of weapons and firearms, ammunition, thereby avoiding the illegal diversion of these firearms”.

He explained that previously an online public consultation was held, which included the participation of experts from Citizen Security, with the purpose of having support for a plan where it is also linked to the organized People’s Power: “A link was created in an easy way so that people or users have the facility to fill out that form.”
