Sending his greetings to the new president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, the Venezuelan Head of State Nicolás Maduro Moros reiterated his desire to resume the path of the common good for the brotherly peoples of Venezuela and Colombia:
“My congratulations to Colombia, to Gustavo Petro (…) there was the Sword, Bolívar, the History… I extend my hand to the people of Colombia and to President Gustavo Petro to rebuild brotherhood, based on respect and love between peoples”, he highlighted.
In this sense, he stressed the message offered by the incoming president who assured in his speech that it is “a second chance” for Colombia:
“A second chance, says President Petro, we must take advantage of it, for the sake of happiness and peace, I say for the Peace of Colombia, for the Peace of Venezuela, congratulations to all of Colombia, congratulations President Petro, God bless you”, said Maduro.
