President Maduro: 324,172 high school graduates have their place guaranteed in the universities of the National Public Education System

With the supreme interest of guaranteeing the right to inclusive, free and quality education, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, closed the 2021-2022 school year with the graduation ceremony of 324,172 high school graduates of the promotion “Great Marshal of Ayacucho, Antonio José de Sucre”.

The event, which took place at the Teresa Carreño Theater in Caracas, was full of joy for the celebration of the end of the school year that culminates with an enrollment of 8,789,356 students who studied at all levels throughout of this school year.

In this context, the Head of State congratulated the initiative of the high school graduates who, in their vocational tests, decided to venture into university careers related to the Bolivarian Economic Agenda-AEB, specifically in the areas of technology, health, engineering and tourism:

I have been feeling very happy and content today to come to share with you, to greet you and give you a hug, to give a kiss to each and every one of you, to give my blessing to all of you. Today, being July 22, 2022, I declared the 2021-2022 school year successfully completed. Congratulations guys!”, he expressed to the young people who, with patriotic sentiments, welcomed the Head of State.

The National President recalled that, in Venezuela, free and quality education is guaranteed up to the university level, and announced that this July 27, the 324,172 high school graduates that are graduating, have their place assured in the universities of the National Public System of Education.

Everyone to get vaccinated:

The school year that ends in 2022 was developed under the 7+7 scheme and, later, with the face-to-face method, always preserving life in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Given this, the head of state urged the youth to get vaccinated and achieve 100 percent immunization at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year:

If you are given a vaccine, your body and your health come out winning (…) The first ones who have to be vaccinated are the boys, girls and youth, and then the adults, so those who have not been vaccinated, go get vaccinated so that you can get protected and we can start the next school year 2022-2023 with 100% vaccination in all schools, in all high schools and in all universities”.
