The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan Government and People, congratulates the Republic of Argentina, its Government and especially the Argentinean People, on the occasion of the commemoration of the 206th anniversary of its Declaration of Independence.

On this glorious date, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela pays a heartfelt tribute to the heroes José de San Martín, Manuel Belgrano, Antonio González Balcarce, Martín Miguel de Güemes, and all the patriots who offered their lives in the name of freedom and emancipation of the sisterly Argentina.

That July 9, 1816, during the session of the Tucumán Congress of the then United Provinces of Río de la Plata, the will to break the links of political dependence with the Spanish empire and with all vestiges of foreign domination was reaffirmed.

On this heroic day of the emancipation of the Argentine Republic, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its unwavering struggle for our American union, in the face of imperial aggression, and vindicates the historical struggles for independence and self-determination, as a faithful legacy of our heroes. and emancipatory leaders, for the construction of a world of justice, peace and freedom.
