Maduro: The main objective is to achieve the strategic diversification of the Venezuelan economy

Qualifying as “brilliant, successful and victorious” his current official tour of countries in Eurasia, North Africa and the Middle East, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed that Venezuela has the task of consolidating its diversified economy model and not depend on oil, to advance in export options linked to the food security and sovereignty sector.

This was stated by the Head of State in statements broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión this Thursday, from the Republic of Azerbaijan, the sixth stop on his diplomatic and work tour from which he stated that “Venezuela has to consolidate its market model, we are going to continue developing oil, gas and generate the diversified economy”.

In this context, he stressed that the peoples of the world are heading towards a new world geopolitics that will deepen strategic areas for the economies of the countries:

“Over the years, we have been cultivating relationships at all levels (…) The time has come to take a leap that adapts to a new era of closer cooperation on all issues”, he emphasized.

He stressed that the work days with the different governments have allowed reviewing the investment plan of entrepreneurs in sectors such as oil, gas, petrochemicals, tourism, food production and increased trade to bring investments, technology and create markets to Venezuelan entrepreneurs, “To bring investments, technology and create markets to Venezuelan entrepreneurs.”

In this regard, President Maduro announced that in the coming days there will be “a set of very interesting conferences, from now on I call on all private and public companies, everyone who produces in Venezuela to this great market, which has a large economic power that is opening up in the country”.

Therefore, he urged Venezuelan businessmen to consolidate the diversified model that is not dependent on oil:

“We are going to continue developing oil and gas because Venezuela is an energy power, but we have to consider not being dependent on oil and generating a diversified economy”, he said.

He pointed out the need to create export options linked to the world’s food security and sovereignty “in the face of the crisis that is impacting today, with scarcity and inflation of all fundamental products such as rice and wheat in the world diet”.

He also commented his satisfaction with the positive development of this international work tour, which he has been carrying out since last June 7 to strengthen ties of friendship and cooperation with other nations, due to the fact that he has received various signs of affection and good treatment from the peoples and governments, to whom he ratified Venezuela’s willingness to maintain closer cooperation.

Caracas-Doha Flight:

He announced that as of October will be established a flight in direct Caracas-Doha connection and added that during his visit to Qatar a set of proposals of bilateral strategic interest were also evaluated that will become actions with benefits for both nations:

This entire tour has served to be able to update all governments on the situation in Venezuela, given the brutal campaign of all these years against our country”, reaffirmed Maduro.

The Eurasian Tour of the Venezuelan President has so far included visits to Turkey, Algeria, Iran, Kuwait and Qatar, starting this Thursday his sixth stop in the Republic of Azerbaijan:

“We are arriving in Azerbaijan with a brilliant, successful, victorious tour that leaves great results for our country, for this path of recovery, diversification and development of the economy”, he concluded.

As part of the official visit to Azerbaijan, President Nicolás Maduro will review the bilateral cooperation agenda between the two countries, in tourism, agriculture, science and technology.
