AN opposition group ratifies commitment to reinstitutionalization of the country

The democratic opposition bench that makes up the National Assembly (AN) ratified on Wednesday its commitment to the reinstitutionalization of the country.

This was stated by the opposition deputy Luis Parra during his speech in the installation session of the Ordinary Period 2022-2023 of the Legislative Power.

“The opposition bench, the democratic opposition that has always believed that we must return here to save the country, that respects the Constitution (…) ratifies the commitment to re-institutionalize the country,” he said.

In that sense, he proposed the parliamentarian Luis Augusto Romero for the presidency of the AN, Anyelith Tamayo, for the First Vice-presidency and the deputy Alfonzo Campo for the Second Vice-presidency.

This Wednesday, the election and swearing-in of the Board of Directors of Parliament for the period 2022-2023 takes place, in accordance with the provisions of article 194 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
