The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, on behalf of the Venezuelan people and Government, congratulated the Chilean people for the successful election day that they starred this Sunday, December 19, 2021, in which Gabriel Boric was elected as President of the Republic of Chile:
“From the deep crucible of the homeland of Bernardo O’Higgins, Salvador Allende and Víctor Jara, the popular clamor rose and announced a new dawn, beginning today a virtuous stage in the history of Chile”, reads the statement.
The Bolivarian Government described as a historical triumph that vindicates the deep feeling of millions of men, women, workers, peasants, soldiers, miners and students to open the great avenues to build a better, more just and egalitarian society.
The Venezuelan Head of State extended his good wishes to President Gabriel Boric, wished him wisdom in decision-making and renewed his willingness and willingness to work constructively, closely and respectfully in favor of our peoples and the union of Our Latin and Caribbean Americas.
