The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reaffirmed that this Monday, October 25 will begin face-to-face classes throughout the country, a process that he urged to comply with the adoption of biosafety measures for a responsible and safe return:
“Face-to-face classes are back in Venezuela with absolute biosafety. Welcome everyone to class. The bell for the beginning of face-to-face classes has rang”, said the Head of State this Sunday, during the presentation of the weekly balance of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
Regarding the beginning of classes, he indicated that the facilities of schools, high schools, and universities have been recovering with the support of the organized community, social leadership, community councils, street chiefs and UBCh, among other instances.
The President urged the Venezuelan teachers and the student body to maintain biosafety measures to avoid contagion by Covid-19 and at the same time motivate the community to vaccinate against coronavirus:
“I ask for everything to be done according to the protocols, that we take good care of ourselves and I have instructed the social team to go in search of those boys who dropped out of the school system in these 19 months, for their effective reintegration”, he said.
For this, it is worth remembering the activation of the back-to-school plan, an initiative that includes 10 points so that the 2021-2022 school year is successful and safe, including: Biosecurity: Responsible and safe return; Love for my teacher: Anonymous heroes of the pandemic; Enhancement of educational spaces: My beautiful school.
In addition to the Patria Potencia (Empowered Homeland) vertices: The school, a pillar for national development; Society and family: Living commitment of the school with the human being; Educational technology: Schools for technological sovereignty; The school in my environment, a seedbed for the commune; The school towards a geopolitical role; Organization and action: School, source of leadership and communal meeting; and Teacher development: Quality education.
He announced that the distribution of uniforms and school supplies is also contemplated to guarantee free and quality public education.
