Maduro: Venezuela regained total stake in Petrocedeño company

President Nicolás Maduro Moros announced this Thursday that Venezuela assumes full participation in the Petrocedeño company and industrial complex after achieving successful negotiations with the transnational companies Total and Equinor.

From Miraflores Palace, where he led a work journey dedicated to strengthening the national agribusiness, the Head of State explained that Petrocedeño is a super complex, valued at more than 10 billion dollars and added that “by agreement between the parties, PDVSA assumes 100% of the company”.

“We are moving forward, the Petrocedeño negotiation took months, but we are achieving everything in silence, betting on production with Venezuelan hands”, he said.

The dignitary stressed that “we are making progress, the Petrocedeño negotiation took months, but we are achieving everything in silence, betting on production with Venezuelan hands”.

The national president indicated that all of Petrocedeño’s production will be recovered with national labor.

“On the one hand, we were negotiating the acquisition of the company and on the other, recovering the production of this complex with the efforts of the workers, with spare parts manufactured in Venezuela”, he said.

In the same way, he thanked French and Norwegian companies Total and Equinor for the success of this negotiation, while denying the departure of these companies from the country, as it was indicated by the Bloomberg agency as part of a negative media campaign:

It is a permanent campaign against Venezuela, that is being carried out by Bloomberg. These companies are going to stay in the country in the development of alternative energy projects”, he revealed.

President Maduro stressed that Venezuela has the Organic Anti-Blockade Law to boost the economy and investment in the country: “With the Anti-Blockade Law, there are hundreds of investment projects in all the 16 Engines of the Bolivarian Economic Agenda that are starting up and in full development,” he said.
