CNE held meeting with directors of the Acción Democrática party

To give continuity to the meeting agenda with the opposition political parties, and to exchange with them aspects related to the electoral schedule for November 21, this Tuesday the president of the CNE, Pedro Calzadilla, held a work meeting with the general secretary from the Democratic Action party (AD), Bernabé Gutierrez, who expressed his confidence in the current leadership (of AD) on the electoral body:

This is a CNE that expresses trust in us, made up of conscientious men and women. (They) Inspire as much confidence as possible and I believe faithfully in this CNE”, said Gutiérrez upon leaving the meeting.

Similarly, the political leader ratified his party’s decision to participate in the next Regional and Municipal elections, by ensuring that the exercise of the vote “is the tool to replace governments and will never be abandoned.”

He stressed that AD will not renounce to participate because it considers that “governments change with votes and not with boots, and not by asking for interventions”.

The meeting with Gutiérrez is the second one the president of the Electoral Power has held in the last week with senior leaders of organizations with political purposes, as part of the activities of rapprochement with the political actors who will participate in the elections on November 21.

To join the contest:

Gutiérrez took advantage of this scenario to exhort those who last year made a call to abstain, to “take the step at once” to join the electoral contest.

He assured that the schedule “is being brought to fruition”, and that “they have not found any faults”, highlighting that “wherever they may exist”, they will manifest it.

The calendar for the so-called mega-elections is currently being developed, in which will be voted to elect 23 governors, 335 mayors, legislators and municipal councilors.

Regarding the dialogue process to begin in Mexico City, the AD general secretary reiterated that he was ready to participate in the negotiation process planned to take place soon.
