COVID: Venezuela begins this Monday a week of radical quarantine

From Monday, July 12, 2021, Venezuela begins a week of radical, conscious and voluntary quarantine.

The information was made known by the Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, through her account on the Twitter social network @delcyrodriguezv.

She indicated that a week of successful economic and safe flexibilization has just concluded, however, she called on the people to maintain prevention and care in order to avoid contagions by Covid-19.

In the last 24 hours, 1,200 new infections were detected, all through community transmission. The state with the highest number of cases of Coronavirus was Portuguesa; 198 cases in 11 of its municipalities, followed by La Guaira state with 140, and Carabobo state with 119 cases.

Unfortunately, 12 Venezuelans, 5 women and 7 men, have died from Covid-19, bringing the number of deaths to 3,290.

To date, the total number of infections is 284,942, 94 percent of the patients have recovered (267,628), and 14,024 cases are currently active.
