Colombia is imperialism’s pretext for attacking Venezuela

Colombia is the great pretext of imperialism to attack Venezuela and any country where a political change or any kind of nationalism, which is not pertinent to the Monroe Doctrine, prospers. This was stated by Freddy Ñañez, Vice President for Communication, Culture and Tourism of the Bolivarian Government, this Sunday, April 11, 2020, during the program “Análisis Situacional” (Situational Analysis), hosted by Oscar Schemel.

“For that reason, we have always interpreted the Colombian conflict on a geopolitical scale, and we have been interested in Colombia overcoming, precisely the pretext of war, which today makes everything revolve around a military and security solution, which gives motives to the policeman of the world, to strengthen and expand further”, he explained.

Regarding the situation on the border, the Minister of People’s Power for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñañez, stated that the clash of models is clearly evidenced; on the one hand, the Venezuelan State, which jealously guards social peace to avoid armed conflict, and on the other hand, a country that has been at war for more than 70 years, and a State that has found a very productive economy in war, conflict and abandonment, and the outsourcing of its territory.

Faced with this panorama, the Bolivarian Government has done its part to maintain peace in its territory and defend national sovereignty from paramilitarism, organized crime and destabilization.
