In order to advance towards the modernization of the State, and due to the pandemic, the 15th National Population and Housing Census incorporates the Self-registration platform to continue advancing. This was stated by the Vice President and Minister for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, this Saturday on his account on the Twitter social network, @rmenendezp.
Menéndez assured that it is an «agile and simple» process to fill in the data of the census ballot «what previously a census taker did in the field, can now be carried out by anyone, from home, with a computer or smartphone”. He also asserted that this platform was made by Venezuelan professionals and has the highest international standards.
In this sense, the Vice President for Planning reported that this process will subsequently have validation phases in the field. Whose information, provided by Venezuelans, is vital for the formulation, monitoring and optimization of the public policies of the Venezuelan State. As well as, for the broad census tradition of our country.
Likewise, he clarified that is only needed to fill out one form for each dwelling “where we will upload the information of all its inhabitants and family groups.» In order to access, it will be sent in a button through an email to each head of the household. Finally, the Minister of Planning asserted that despite the pandemic, the Census continues to advance towards the modernization of the State.
For his part, Raúl Pachecho, President of the National Institute of Statistics (INE), highlighted that this 15th National Population and Housing Census, “which has cutting-edge advances in Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as worldwide, in what are called 4th Generation Censuses, characterized by having Digital Cartography and applying Self-registration”, he stressed.
Likewise, Pacheco reiterated that the Census is currently in the self-registration phase, «where households can register their data, the platform of which has the highest technical and quality standards in statistical matters.»
