President Maduro: “We have a Special Vaccination Plan”

In the presence of the Brazilian variant, the president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, said this Sunday that measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 have been reinforced through a special vaccination plan.

In this sense, the Dignitary indicated that “We have started strongly and we have a special vaccination plan in the presence of the Brazilian variant,” while he reiterated his call to the population to continue complying with biosafety measures.

Likewise, he stressed that the vaccines available to immunize the population do not eliminate the risk of infection, therefore he urged the population to go to care centers in case of presenting any symptoms and avoid self-medication.

Unlocking Gold from the Bank of England:

The head of state also pointed out that they are still waiting for the response on the request made for the Bank of England to release 300 million dollars to acquire the vaccines against COVID-19 that the population needs.

Therefore, he ratified that this request is not a political action, but “a claim of a human nature” so that Venezuela may have the possibility of accessing the doses through the Global Access Fund for COVID-19 Vaccines (COVAX), an alliance between various organizations to guarantee equity in the distribution of immunizations.
