The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, asserted on Tuesday that the main threat to the stability and peace of the country comes from Colombia, from the Colombian oligarchy.
When presenting the Balance of the Bolivarian Shield – Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez Frías 2021 Military Exercises, he stressed that “all Military Exercises are permanent tests to refine the powerful muscle of the Venezuelan military power” that allows to refine the capacity to deploy forces, the operational readiness, the combative capacity, command and leadership, which are being thrown by an increasingly powerful Bolivarian National Armed Forces”.
He recalled that Venezuela denounced and presented evidence of Operation Gideon with which they tried to invade the country and commit acts of assassination and that, despite the fact that the Government of Iván Duque denied it, it subsequently detained those involved in this aggression.
The Head of State denounced that Colombia uses re-runs to justify aggressions against the country, so he called on all parks to be alert to plans promoted by Duque to steal weapons and defense systems to create chaos and to attack the country.
He also added that Venezuela registers more than 600 cases of purchase, of bribery of Venezuelan officials by the Colombian Intelligence Directorate.
“Every day they are looking for a traitor to steal our weapons system, to disarm the Revolution (…) but before that we must be alert and weapons must point where they should,” warned the National President.
“We need a very powerful Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) for this 21st Century. Nobody respects the weak (…) Venezuela has earned respect in the world by heart, ”emphasized the Commander-in-Chief of the FANB.
He congratulated the men and women in uniform and the organized people for strengthening the national defensive power as well as the civic-military union to protect and guarantee Independence, sovereignty and national peace, which ensures the integral defense of the Homeland.
He stressed that Venezuela is not preparing for war, but to defend peace, to defend the territory, to defend the Venezuelan family, the idea of Homeland, the Simón Bolívar National Project.
The National President was accompanied by members of the Higher General Staff of the FANB and Commanders of REDI and ZODI.
