Venezuela commemorated 202 years of the installation of the Congress of Angostura

This Sunday, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, recalled the 202 years since the installation of the Congress of Angostura, which represents a historic feat that forged the path of freedom and sovereignty of the Homeland.

Through a message published on social networks, the head of state stated that “Every word spoken by Father Bolívar in Angostura, illuminates us as a beacon in this new beginning to build the maximum social happiness of the Venezuelan people.”

Accompanied by an audiovisual, he highlighted that February 15, 1819 was an important event in history when the Congress of Angostura was installed with the objective of a new free and sovereign nation.

Likewise, the video highlights a message from Commander Hugo Chávez: “I believe that the most complete document in which the Bolivarian ideology is expressed. The eternal return of the Bolivarian project. The Bolivarian ideology is the hardest nucleus, the central axis of socialism in Venezuela”.
