The Government and people of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela join in the celebration of the People’s Republic of China for the beginning of the Lunar New Year under the sign of the Metal Ox, as a symbol of strength, work and prosperity.
Through a statement from the Chancellory, Venezuela reaffirms the commitment to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood between both peoples, to raise the Comprehensive Strategic Association to new levels, as well as political solidarity and joint work in defense of multilateralism and the International Law, pillars for the consolidation of a peaceful, egalitarian and well-being world.
Also appreciates the solidarity of the People’s Republic of China in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been decisive for the management and prevention of this virus in Venezuelan territory.
Likewise, to acknowledge the firmness of the Government of China in defending the right of Venezuelans to resolve their internal affairs without foreign interference, which has made a valuable contribution to the consolidation of peace and democracy in the country.

“The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan People and Government, congratulates the People’s Republic of China for the beginning of the Lunar New Year under the sign of the Metal Ox, a symbol of strength, work and prosperity.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela joins the celebrations of the Chinese people, with the renewed commitment to strengthen the bonds of friendship and brotherhood of both peoples, to raise the Integral Strategic Association to new levels, as well as political solidarity and the joint work in defense of multilateralism and International Law, pillars for the consolidation of a peaceful, egalitarian and well-being world.
The occasion is propitious to reiterate the appreciation for the solidarity of the People’s Republic of China with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, which has been decisive for the management and prevention of this scourge in Venezuelan territory. Likewise, to recognize the firmness of the Government of China in defending the right of Venezuelans to resolve their internal affairs without foreign interference, which has made a valuable contribution to the consolidation of peace and democracy in the country.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, expressing its wishes for health, happiness and good fortune for the Chinese people, reaffirms its willingness to continue accompanying China in the construction of spaces for cooperation and mutual benefit, such as the Belt and Road Initiative, assuming the beautiful proposal of building a community of shared destiny for humanity.”
