Héctor Constant appointed as new Venezuelan ambassador to UN – Geneva

Héctor Constant Rosales was appointed by President Nicolás Maduro Moros as the new permanent ambassador-representative of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to the United Nations and other international organizations based in Geneva, Switzerland.

The decision was made public in the Official Gazette of Venezuela N ° 41,992, in which it is indicated that the Head of State ceases Ambassador Jorge Hidalgo Valero, who held the same position in New York, on his duties before the UN-Geneva, and passes to be the Venezuelan delegate representative to the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO).

With this measure, Constant Rosales becomes the country’s spokesperson before the Human Rights Council, the Offices of the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the High Commissioner for Refugees, the International Labor Organization (ILO), the World Organization Health (WHO), the International Trade Organization (ILO) and dozens of other international organizations that have a seat in the Swiss city.
