COVID: Venezuela registers 419 new infections, recovery rate is at 95%

In the last 24 hours, Venezuela reports a total of 388 cases of community transmission of Covid-19 and 31 imported cases, for a total of 419 infections detected by the Venezuelan health authorities this Sunday, November 15.

With this number of infections, the total figure rises to 97,352, while the recovery rate remains at 95% of all cases, registering 92,373 patients recovered with free treatments. This was announced by the Sectoral Vice President for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Freddy Ñáñez, through a publication in his social networks accounts.

Likewise, Ñáñez assured that he explained that so far the country has 4,128 active cases, of which 4,100 are being treated within the Public Health System and 28 in private clinics.

He also highlighted that Zulia state is the entity with the highest number of infections, with 144, in the municipalities: Cabimas 27, Maracaibo 22, Valmore Rodríguez 21, Mara 19, Lagunillas 19, Rosario de Perijá 16, Jesús Enrique Lossada 7, San Francisco 6, Colón 1, Baralt 1, Santa Rita 1, Machiques de Perijá 1, Jesús María Semprún 1, Francisco Javier Pulgar 1, Cañada de Urdaneta 1.

Regarding the discrimination of the cases by states, he specified that they are geographically distributed as follows:

Zulia with 144 cases.

Capital District 58 cases.

Nueva Esparta 33 cases.

Anzoátegui 32 cases.

Merida 30 cases.

Trujillo 19 cases.

Miranda 19 cases.

Yaracuy 18 cases.

Táchira 15 cases.

Lara 10 cases.

Aragua 4 cases.

Monagas 3 cases.

Falcon 1 case.

La Guaira 1 case.

Guárico 1 case.

Regarding imported cases, it was reported that all 31 came from Colombia, of which 27 entered through Táchira state, and 4 through Zulia state.

In another vein, regarding the deceases, he highlighted that there were three regrettable losses: a 42-year-old man from Lara state, a 55-year-old man from Miranda state and a 65-year-old man from Táchira state.

Similarly, Ñáñez highlighted that 2,250,662 tests have been carried out to date, which represents 75,022 tests per million inhabitants.

Finally, he added that this Monday begins a new week of expanded flexibility in the country, under the Venezuelan 7 + 7 Plus method: “Please remember to maintain the respective biosafety measures during these days, so that we can continue to flatten the contagion curve and move towards permanent flexibility during the month of December ”.
