The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, reported that for the month of April 2021 will start a massive vaccination journey against covid-19, thanks to the acquisition of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine and the cooperation agreements with other nations of the world.
The head of state reflected on the global media campaign that was carried out by reporting on the 90% effectiveness of the Pfizer company’s vaccine to combat the coronavirus.
“There was a great campaign for a vaccine in the West, but there is a deathly silence when the Russian and Chinese colleagues announce the effectiveness tests of their vaccines,” reflected the head of state.
Maduro expressed his satisfaction with the Pfizer vaccine, while asking: “What about the other 10% of effectiveness?”
He said that in the race for the vaccine against covid-19, must prevail the health of the peoples and not the geopolitical game, referring to the high media coverage arranged for the advancement of the Pfizer laboratory vaccine.
He ended his reflection on this point by quoting what Donald Trump said about the appearance of the vaccine that caused all western stock markets to close higher: “Pfizer has launched its vaccine against the Coronavirus, although Trump has declared that there was a conspiracy against him to hide said vaccine,” he said.
“The Executive Vice President is in works to guarantee the Russian vaccine, the Chinese vaccine and any vaccines that may emerge to guarantee the protection of our people in a free, safe and direct way,” he said.
