Venezuela receives credentials from new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands

The new ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Venezuela, Robert Schuddeboom, delivered his credentials to the country’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Jorge Arreaza, on Tuesday.

The new Head of Mission of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela was welcomed by the Chancellor in a formal ceremony held at the Yellow House, headquarters of the Chancellory:

«The Kingdom of the Netherlands is not only in Europe, a few miles from the Paraguaná peninsula there are Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, St. Marteen; we have a historic neighborhood, a brotherhood between our peoples”, said the Chancellor.

He pointed out that it is necessary to resolve the migratory flow and restore binational tourism, for which will be coordinated efforts in the area of ​​security in the Caribbean.

Arreaza asserted that bilateral relations have already been raised to a level, which he already qualifies as successful.

Any difference there has been, we must face it with dialogue, direct communication, in real time, and resolve it”, said the Chancellor.

He added that Venezuela and the Netherlands will also work together to promote the commercial area, investments and commented on the new Anti-Blockade Law and its benefits for the exchange economy.

For his part, Ambassador Robert Schuddeboom stressed that the next four years will be of work to improve bilateral relations:

The Kingdom of the Netherlands is not only a European country, it is also a Caribbean country. Good relations with Venezuela are very important to us, due to the common interests that are multiple and intense”, he emphasized.
