Electoral campaign for parliamentary elections will begin this November 3

From next Tuesday, November 3 to Thursday, December 3, will develop the Electoral Campaign for the electoral elections of deputies to the National Assembly (AN) that will take place on December 6.

In this sense, the president of the Electoral Power, Indira Alfonzo Izaguirre, reported that “the board of directors of the National Electoral Council (CNE), in its permanent session, concluded the discussion and approval of the Special Regulations for the Electoral Campaign that will govern these parliamentary elections, whose normative body will be formally presented to the Organizations with national, regional and indigenous Political Purposes that constitute more than 90% of the groups that are legally and legitimately registered with the CNE”.

Likewise, the highest authority of the electoral body emphasized that said decision conforms to the spirit of collaboration, balance and pluralism that characterizes the electoral body, adding that “the pandemic forces us to innovate and get in tune with new methodologies that allow participation and the motivation of Organizations with Political Purposes”, as reviewed in the CNE website.

Alfonzo reiterated the importance of respecting “the biosanitary protocols established by the State in order to continue in the irreducible fight against the scourge of COVID-19”,she concluded.
