Venezuela strengthens cooperation with Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, reported this Wednesday that he held a fruitful videoconference with the High Commissioner of the United Nations (UN), Michelle Bachelet, where he ratified the willingness to collaborate with their offices in Geneva and Venezuela and there were advances in establishing a respectful dialogue for human rights in Venezuela.

He noted that the Office of the UN High Commissioner will expand its presence in the country, to continue cooperation between the Venezuelan State and the international body.

Likewise, the National President presented Bachelet with the report “The truth of Venezuela against infamy”, produced by the Citizen Power, which is a response to the text published by a “dependent mission” of the UN, prepared under false premises.

The President appreciated that the functioning of the Bachelet delegates in Venezuela has been going very satisfactorily, “it has improved the coordination, the dialogue with the office of the High Commissioner”.

On the other hand, he explained that they exchanged criteria and opinions in reference to the coercive measures imposed by the United States government (USA), which has generated millions in losses to the nation with more than 30,000 million dollars.
