COVID: Venezuela registers 745 community, 14 imported and adds 65,225 recovered cases

A total of 745 cases of community transmission of COVID-19 and 14 imported cases were detected in the last 24 hours by the Venezuelan health authorities, raising the total number of infections to 75,122, of which 65,225 have successfully recovered, which is equivalent to an 87 percent of cases.

The information was released this Wednesday by the Minister for Communication and Information, Freddy Ñáñez, through a series of publications made on his account on the Twitter social network, at the end of the meeting of the Presidential Commission for Control and Prevention of COVID-19.

Regarding the cases of community transmission, he explained that they focused on:

Zulia: 104 new cases, in 8 of the 21 municipalities of the entity, concentrating on Mara with 41, Maracaibo with 20, Cabimas with 15, San Francisco with 13, Valmore Rodríguez with 10, Machiques de Perijá with 3, Simón Bolívar with 1 and Santa Rita with 1.

Capital District: 102 new cases in 18 of the 22 capital parishes, concentrating the largest number of cases in: Sucre (Catia) with 22, El Recreo with 12, El Valle with 10 and La Vega with 10 infections, among others.

Other States:

Yaracuy: 101 new cases.

Lara: 84 new cases.

Miranda: 63 new cases.

Aragua: 61 new cases.

La Guaira: 52 new cases.

Táchira: 38 new cases.

Sucre: 25 new cases.

Anzoátegui: 25 new cases.

Cojedes: 20 new cases.

Carabobo: 18 new cases.

Mérida: 17 new cases.

Apure: 11 new cases.

Bolívar: 10 new cases.

Nueva Esparta: 10 new cases.

Falcón: 3 new cases.

Monagas: 1 new case.

Meanwhile regarding the imported cases, he detailed that 13 are coming from Colombia and 1 from Brazil.

For this Monday there are 9,269 active cases, of which 6,060 are in hospitals, 2,839 are in Integral Diagnosis Centers (CDI) and 370 in private clinics.

On the other hand, Ñáñez regretted reporting the death of seven people due to the COVID-19 infection in the last hours, which raises the number of fatalities to 628.

The deaths were: three men aged 69, 81 and 89 from Apure state; a 55-year-old woman and a 78-year-old man from Aragua; a 57-year-old man from Dtto. Capital; a 71-year-old man from Miranda.

When referring to the diagnostic tests, he specified that 1,948,148 tests have been applied until this Wednesday, which is equivalent to 64,938 tests per million inhabitants.
